A lifelong youth football advocate and former coach, Joe earned the nickname "one-man army" after leading the charge to defeat Proposition AB 1, a bill that would have banned youth football across the entire state of California. Refusing to let the sport he loves be stripped from the next generation, Joe co-founded a coalition of passionate coaches and football staff, took their fight to the Capitol, and didn't stop until they had not only killed the ban, but replaced it with smart, structured safety guidelines built specifically to benefit young players.

This is a story about more than football. It's about what happens when one person refuses to sit down and give up.
